Frequently asked questions
Welcome to the PSN platform. PSN connects hospitals, ad agencies, corporate sponsors, and individual donors, facilitating partnerships and sponsorships that support hospital fundraisers. By using PSN, you agree to these Terms of Service. This document governs your use of our platform, outlining responsibilities, rights, and limitations.
Hospitals: Entities with verified listings on PSN, sharing fundraisers, and engaging with sponsors and agencies.
Ad Agencies: Agencies that facilitate sponsorships and create campaign materials.
Sponsors: Corporate sponsors or philanthropic foundations supporting hospital fundraisers.
Individual Donors: Individuals who contribute funds directly to fundraisers listed on PSN.
PSN: Our platform facilitating these connections, partnerships, and fundraisers.
PSN provides services to connect hospitals, ad agencies, and sponsors to support healthcare fundraisers through sponsorships, ad campaigns, and community features, including our forum, messaging system, and fundraiser tracking.
Hospitals on PSN may choose to create fundraisers for donations or investments. PSN supports traffic and visibility for both types, with links directing users to external platforms (e.g., GoFundMe for donations and StartEngine for investments) based on the hospital’s choice.
Each user (hospitals, agencies, sponsors, and individual donors) must use the platform responsibly, providing accurate information and complying with all platform policies.
Hospitals must ensure fundraisers are legitimate and post clear requirements and sponsorship terms.
Ad Agencies must maintain honest and ethical standards when communicating and fulfilling sponsorship obligations.
Sponsors should uphold sponsorship commitments and any stated intentions towards donations.
Individual Donors are encouraged to contribute thoughtfully, understanding that donations support medical initiatives, not purchases of goods or services.
PSN serves as a platform to link hospitals and donors. While hospitals maintain full responsibility for fundraisers, individual donors are advised that:
Donations are not transactions for services or goods.
Refunds are limited, and requests may be considered only in cases of demonstrable error or misuse.
All users must maintain respectful communication with other platform members. Individual donors are encouraged to interact through messages and support channels with PSN and hospitals when necessary. Any messages must comply with PSN’s community guidelines, and inappropriate content will result in removal and potential termination of access.
PSN offers a range of services for hospitals and agencies participating on the platform. Fundraising fees apply to both donation-based and investment-based fundraisers to support our promotion and visibility services. For investment-related fundraisers, PSN facilitates traffic and visibility but does not participate in the financial or regulatory aspects of investments. PSN does not guarantee investment outcomes or returns.
Below is an outline of pricing structures, including details on mandatory fees and optional services available to ensure high standards of quality and trustworthiness.
1. Fundraising Fees
Free Tier Hospitals: Fundraisers submitted to PSN are subject to a base fundraising fee of 20%. This fee supports PSN’s platform maintenance, security, and administrative costs, allowing us to ensure a high level of transparency and operational quality for all users.
Premium Hospitals: Premium hospitals receive a 25% discount on fundraising fees, paying 15% instead. Premium subscriptions provide hospitals with enhanced features and resources, along with a reduced fundraising fee to support ongoing fundraising efforts at a lower cost.
2. Mandatory Monitoring Fee for GoFundMe Pages To maintain integrity and quality across all fundraising initiatives, PSN requires a mandatory monitoring fee for each GoFundMe page submitted to the platform. This monitoring service is essential for the following reasons:
Fraud Prevention: Monitoring helps verify the legitimacy of each fundraising page, ensuring that funds are directed toward verified, authentic causes.
Quality Assurance: This service enables PSN to routinely assess fundraising pages for compliance with PSN’s standards, promoting trust among donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
Data Integrity: The monitoring fee supports PSN’s ability to maintain accurate records for all fundraisers, allowing donors, hospitals, and sponsors to access up-to-date information.
Monitoring Fee Structure:
Standard Monitoring Service: $50 per page per month for active pages listed on PSN.
Optional Page Creation Service: Hospitals may request PSN to create GoFundMe pages on their behalf for a one-time fee of $100, covering setup and initial content creation, with approval processes to ensure adherence to quality and branding standards.
3. Premium Subscriptions Hospitals and agencies may opt into premium subscription plans for enhanced features, reduced fees, and access to exclusive content. These subscription fees are outlined on our pricing pages for each user type, which also detail any additional benefits, including lower fundraising fees and enhanced listing and promotional options on PSN.
All users must agree to PSN’s Pricing and Payment terms upon application and are expected to comply with the mandatory fee structures as outlined.
1. Free Account Holders:
Hospitals with a free account will be invoiced a $250 sponsorship fee per sponsorship received through GoFundMe using PSN’s platform to facilitate connections with sponsors.
This fee is billed after the hospital has received the sponsorship funds to ensure no upfront financial burden.
Hospitals are responsible for timely payment of this fee, which contributes to maintaining PSN’s platform and services.
2. Premium Account Holders:
Hospitals with a premium account are exempt from sponsorship fees, regardless of the number of sponsorships received.
This waiver allows premium account holders to allocate more funds toward ad campaigns, maximizing the benefits for both sponsors and hospitals.
3. General Notes:
PSN does not intermediate the sponsorship transaction. Sponsorship funds are processed directly via GoFundMe, with PSN billing hospitals for applicable fees separately.
The GoFundMe platform and transaction fees (~8%) remain applicable to all sponsorship funds.
PSN provides services on an "as is" basis and disclaims all warranties. PSN makes no guarantees regarding the success of any fundraising, sponsorship, or ad campaign.
Investments involve inherent financial risks, including the potential for loss. PSN encourages users considering investments to review all relevant details on the linked crowdfunding platform and to make informed decisions based on their financial goals and risk tolerance. PSN bears no responsibility for the accuracy of information on third-party fundraising sites or for any investment outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PSN is not liable for any damages resulting from use of the Platform. PSN does not assume liability for the outcomes of fundraisers, hospital use of funds, or agency performance. However, it works to ensure transparency and trust by setting up clear expectations and accountability measures for all stakeholders.
